Welcome to Parents’ Coffee Hour, Leijonaemot’s new English-speaking online peer support group for parents of children with special needs.

Parenting a child with special needs can sometimes feel lonely. In this group, you can connect with other parents who understand the joys, challenges, and everyday realities of your family life. Join us to share your experiences, listen to others, and find support in a warm and welcoming environment.

How to participate

The meetings will be held online via Microsoft Teams. You can join using a computer, tablet or smartphone.

To help create a safe and confidential atmosphere for everyone, we recommend joining from a quiet private space. Using headphones or earphones is also encouraged so that all participants can feel comfortable sharing their experiences. We also encourage participants to keep their cameras on for at least part of the meeting, as this helps create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.

Who is the group for?

The group is open to parents of children with special needs who would like to meet other parents, share experiences, and receive peer support in English.
